Wrestling tournament attracts top high school and college teams
On January 4 the 11th annual Lone Star Duals wrestling tournament kicks off at South Grand Prairie’s Warrior Coliseum. The tournament promises to bring some of the best athletes from around the country to compete in one of the nation’s best wrestling tournaments.
The action begins Friday morning when twenty-two high school teams from as far away as Virginia begin the tournament.
Saturday is when competition begins for some of the top collegiate wrestlers in the country. Twenty-four colleges will have teams in this year’s Lone Star Duals.
Fans will have the opportunity to see National Champion and Texas wrestler, Tervel Diagnev, in action. Diagnev began wrestling while a sophomore at Arlington High School.
