Two injured when tree falls
A tree fell across the 700 block of Pangburn, Friday evening pinning two people under its canopy. Neighbors and firefighters had to cut limbs from the tree to free one of the victims.
Michelle Finley said she was standing with Lester Stoker next to a car along when she heard a crack, but before she could look up to find the noise she felt the tree hit her, pinning her against the car. Finley said Stoker was knocked down and pinned on the ground. Neighbors rushed to Stoker’s aid cutting tree limbs to help free him.
Stoker was later transported to a local hospital for treatment while Finley received only minor injuries to her arm.
