Elvis at the Uptown

Elvis tribute artists Victor Trevino, Jr and Kraig Parker performed before a sold out crowd Saturday night at the Uptown Theater. The two local artists put on a three set show that chronicled the three eras of Elvis Presley’s singing career.

Trevino, a Fort Worth native, opened the night as the young, hip-shaking King of Rock-n-Roll seen on such 50’s classic television shows as The Ed Sullivan Show, and The Milton Berle Show.

Parker followed with two sets, the first a portrayal of Elvis’ ’68 Comeback Tour complete with black leather. For the second set Parked dressed in a dazzling white jumpsuit as he performed as the flamboyant Las Vegas style Elvis. Parker, a Grand Prairie resident, has performed during the last 12 years to audiences’ world wide.
