Gobs of Talent Variety Show held Saturday at Uptown
The Grand Prairie Arts Council held GobFest 2009 – 2nd Annual Gobs of Talent, Variety Show Saturday night at the Uptown Theater.
GobFest 2009, the Arts Council’s Annual Fundraiser, featured an evening that began with a Patrons Reception that included entertainment, a silent auction, refreshments and a cash bar.
The unique Gong Show style talent and variety show had a panel of three judges, along with the audience. Three winners were selected with $600 in cash prizes awarded.
Winners include:
1st – Gabriel Acuna – Michael Jackson impersonator
2nd – Dustin Luu – Classical piano solo
3rd – Victoria Minton - Operatic solo
Honorable Mention – South Grand Prairie High School Jazz Band
