Peter Sime, Senior Circulation Aide, Main Library was recognized as the City of Grand Prairie Employee-of-the-Month for November at Tuesday night’s City Council meeting.
Sime was nominated by a fellow employee for putting together the Lois Weber FilmCollection.
The nomination read, “Using a Loan Star Libraries grant from the Texas State Library, the Grand Prairie Library chose to create this unique collection for the benefit of library patrons, directors, and both the casual and professional film student. The collection opened on March 26 of this year with an appearance by actress Janine Turner, who has starred in Northern Exposure and Friday Night Lights.”
