Grand Prairie city services MLK Day schedule
In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day city administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 18.
Other city services affected are:
Bowles Branch Library – closed
Main Library - closed
Betty Warmack Branch Library - closed (All libraries have book drops for the return of items after hours. Items may be renewed online at library.gptx.org or by phone at 972-237-5700 during Main Library hours.)
Water bill payment offices - closed
Bowles Life Center - open 6 a.m.-6 p.m.
Charley Taylor Rec Center - open noon -6 p.m.
Dalworth Rec - open noon-6 p.m.
Senior Center - closed
Prairie Lakes Golf Course - open
Tangle Ridge Golf Club - open
Kirby Creek Indoor Pool - 8 a.m.- 1 p.m., 6-9 p.m. lap swim, 1-4 p.m. open swim
Garbage Collection/Recycling - normal collection
Landfill - open 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Animal Shelter - closed
Tourist Information Center - open 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
The city of Grand Prairie will celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day at 10 a.m. on Jan. 18 with a peace march from David Daniels Elementary, 801 SW 19th St., to the Liberty Bell at City Hall Plaza, 317 College St. For more information, call Dalworth Recreation Center, 972-264-7670.
