Man’s body found at McFalls Park

Grand Prairie Police are investigating the homicide of a gunshot victim, Gerardo Castanon-Banuelos, 31, of Irving, whose body was found about 7:45 a.m. Saturday near the entrance to McFalls Park in the 1400 block of South Carrier Parkway.

Castanon-Banuelos, who frequented the 24 Hour Fitness at Story Rd. and Highway 183 in Irving, Texas, was last seen at the fitness center on January 22 at 9:30 p.m.

Police located Castanon-Banuelos’ car Saturday in the fitness center’s parking and believe he left the fitness center with someone. He was killed sometime between Friday evening and early Saturday morning.
