Grand Prairie ISD winter weather update

Due to the inclement weather, GPISD, along with other areas of Grand Prairie, has lost power at some school facilities. Although we still have power at most schools, it is possible that additional power losses could occur.

Therefore, we are encouraging parents to come and pick up their children if at all possible. Students will be released by being signed out in the office by a parent or person designated on the emergency list. No student will be released by phone call. If you are unable to pick up your child, we will, of course, make arrangements to keep your child safe and warm until he/she is picked up.

Regular High School bus schedules will run 15 minutes early today. Elementary School bus schedules are running at the regular time.

All campus-related evening activities have been canceled. You can learn more about closings and delays by visiting the GPISD website at www.gpisd.org or checking your local media outlets, for additional information as it becomes available.
